Rhino deaths in South Africa have been steadily increasing since 2009 due to poaching and the myth that rhino horn is medicine. Thankfully places like the San Diego Zoo Safari Park continue to educate people about the myths of rhino horn and have a successful breeding program in place so that future generations can see these beautiful animals. These three Southern White Rhinos at the watering hole give me hope that we can save the species.
