As the date approaches, details of how to participate at each project will become available.

September 20, Saturday: Coastal Clean Up.
Registration is now open to sign up to participate at one of 100 countywide cleanup sites! AAZK San Diego is working on getting a group together to assist at one of the sites.

All volunteers must sign a waiver to participate, and minors under the age of eighteen require an additional parent or guardian signature on their form.  Help reduce waste by bringing your own reusable water bottle, bucket to collect litter, and gardening or work gloves.

Email us that you would like to participate at and we’ll send you more information!

August 13, Wednesday: River Rescue with the San Diego River Park Foundation (SDRPF).
River Rescues are organized in conjunction with SDRPF’s larger Clean & Green events and are designed to attack the smaller trash sites that require special attention and/or are a little more difficult to get to. So if you don’t mind getting dirty and doing some trail blazing then this may be the perfect fit for you!

Looking for a volunteer opportunity that allows you to support a healthy river while interacting with a group of like-minded people? Come out with our core volunteer team and see if being a River Rescuer is right for you!  River Rescues are scheduled for every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9 – noon. The event location changes regularly so please include your email address in your RSVP and we will email you the Friday before with all of the details.

You must be 18 years or older to participate and this event is not open for community service hour verification. All tools and supplies are provided.

To RSVP for River Rescue, please call 619-297-7380 or email

AAZK San Diego is organizing a group to assist on this day. Please let them know in your call or email that you are part of the AAZK San Diego group!

Thanks for your participation!

April 26, 2014: I Love A Clean San Diego (ILACSD).

This year, ILACSD celebrates its 60th anniversary, and also welcomes the 12th Annual Creek to Bay Cleanup, scheduled for Saturday, April 26th from 9AM – 12noon.  Creek to Bay is one of our largest events of the year, and arrives just in time to celebrate Earth Day.  Volunteers of all ages can participate at one of over 90 coastal and inland cleanup sites held across San Diego County.  Each site is posted online at, where you can register your group for the site of your choice.  Please consider selecting one of the inland locations, particularly those highlighted in red text, as they need additional volunteer support.

Help us continue to reduce waste at this event by bringing your own reusable alternatives to disposable cleanup supplies, such as a bucket to collect trash, gardening or work gloves, and a reusable water bottle.  Go a step further by participating in the Bling Your Bucket contest (instructions attached).  Also attached is an event flyer to pass along to anyone you think may wish to join you, as well as the event waiver that all volunteers must sign regardless of age.  Minors under the age of eighteen require an additional parent or guardian signature on their form.  Spare waivers will be on hand at each cleanup site, but it helps speed up check in if you have your waiver printed and signed to hand in when you arrive.  Volunteers are advised to wear comfortable closed toed shoes and sun protection.

March 5: Lions Tigers & Bears. Join us as we help out with some of the projects at their facility. Projects include painting the feed barn and grounds maintenance. CLICK HERE to learn how to participate!
