Do you know how many species of crocodiles there are in the world? Did you know that a large percentage of those are facing extinction?

Join us at our 7th Annual CroctoberFest to raise funding and supporting the American Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus).

The American Crocodile is currently listed as vulnerable on the IUCN red list. Money raised this year will be going to the Crocodilian Research Coalition (CRC), an organization that is based in Belize.

CRC is working to better understand the ecology of American Crocodiles throughout all of Belize. To accomplish this goal, CRC is conducting surveys and placing satellite trackers on crocs. The data collected will help develop a management plan for the species, allowing them to thrive long-term. Of equal importance, CRC is working to improve croc and human interactions. American Crocodiles in the region have long been feared, viewed as a dangerous species, and consequently killed. CRC is working with locals to help change this perception.

With your help, we can support CRC and help save the American Crocodiles!
